I have just installed Salix OS LXDE 13.37 on my netbook and I have been unable to find two of my favorite apps - Radio Tray and AutoKey. I have searched both Gslapt and Sourcery with no luck. Any ideas?

Hello,
I have not tried it personally but package alien (
http://www.slacky.eu/asche/pkgs/index.php?ver=15&pkg=38) could do the trick in getting a .tgz package converted from a .rpm or .deb file.
As far as I have seen Radio Tray is available as a .deb.

Cheers. I'll give it a try. Maybe I will have to try the same thing with AutoKey as well. I have to admit however, that I also had an ulterior motive with this posting. I rely on these two small apps and use them on almost a daily basis - I wouldn't do that if I didn't think they were very useful. I would love to see these apps added to Salix OS.

Hello,
Best way is to open a package request on the relevant section on the forum. There is chance the packages you need will be made .

Thanks for the tip. I will post the information here as well, for anyone that finds this thread:
Radio Tray
http://radiotray.sourceforge.net/ is "an online radio streaming player that runs on a Linux system tray. Its goal is to have the minimum interface possible, making it very straightforward to use." AutoKey
http://code.google.com/p/autokey/ is "a desktop automation utility for Linux and X11. It allows you to manage collection of scripts and phrases, and assign abbreviations and hotkeys to these. This allows you to execute a script or insert text on demand in whatever program you are using."
