Does anyone now how to establish network connection with the mobile modem Huawei E-173. I've already had usb-modeswitch installed.

You might want to try sakis 3g. I haven't tried it but gapan says it works fine. I have used wvdial and it works. I don't know about this modem but with vodafone works.

sorry! The Huawei device is with the blue light that indicates it's on but there is no network. theres another way to have connection... WICD doesn't work with mobile networks :(

when the device is with low signal the light turns green and that is rare to happen... its always blue. i practily never use mobile network in salix but now i only have this network in my home. in slackware of a friend this network works with sakis 3g!! this only happen in salix :( Does the kde version of salix have knetwork manager? I tried with another distros like ubuntu, arcbang, centos etc and its just click... in a few seconds i have my huawei E-173 mobile network working...

OK... since you say it worked before, what did you change and now it doesn't?
