Guess your provlem is your nvidia card.

To solve your problem :
either you boot with the 'nomodeset' cheatcode
or you install the latest nvidia driver. (info on how to do this can be found in this forum)

Hope this helps.

Where exactly does it freeze? After startup when the X server starts for login screen?

If yes you can try to use the Nvidia binary driver: http://www.salixos.org/wiki/index.php/H ... DIA_driver

Instead of booting and going to runlevel 3 afterwards (init 3 command) you can boot directly to runlevel 3. Just add 3 at the Lilo boot prompt.

EDIT: ikke was faster ;)

HI.
I try this:

1.- Edit /etc/inittab/ the run level 4 to 3 but the result is the same.

2.- Reinstall only the core system, the result is the same.

When boot past lilo screen, check the bios, load de modules when load the login screen is frozeen and nothing happens.

Thanks for your replyes

You can add lilo options to the append= line in /etc/lilo.conf. After saving the file you have to run lilo at the command prompt.
