Hi,

I did test MATE environment. Great I can not tu run effects (shaddows inside windows and mouse pointer). Can you help me? Thank you.

Go to System -> Configuration Editor

There, browse to /apps/marco/general and mark the compositing_manager box.

By the way, I'm working on a GUI for setting up some stuff on gconf imported from the Mint MATE version AND compiz-fusion packages... stay tuned!
