Hi, the mouse is erratic, in Salix Ratpoison. Any file i can edit? thanks...

Can you be more specific? What hardware are you using? have you used other Salix editions on the same machine? Is the problem just with Ratpoison?

Also, what are you using the mouse for? "Kill the rodent!"

Salixfb on the first drive
Salixrat on the second drive
rp and icewm on both drives
mouse tip only gives me problems on rp on Salixrat (second hd) none on the others.

PS: forgot to mention i use both a ps/2 mouse and a kbd, sorry.

When you say the mouse is "erratic", what do you mean exactly? What does it sometimes fail to do?

Hi mimosa, the mouse doesn't go right away where i wanted, i have to try 2-3 times to make it go up/down where i wanted.

mimosa: i cleaned the bottom of it with a cloth and works fine now
PS: i'm using Ext4

PSS: I just switched to my other hd with Salixrat and JFS, the mouse is fine.

Keep using Ratpoison and your mouse will get really dusty

Have you tried rp and vimperator? Now that's a combo!

I reinstalled Salixrp on the first drive with XFS: no mouse problems, before it used EXT4.
No problems on the second drive with JFS
