If in Salix-14-RC2 I switch to my old home directory I have no icons in the menu on the xfce4-panel only blank x.

How to get them in?

My original home directory is on a separate partition which I intend to keep when finally upgrading to SLX14.

My guess is that you've set xfce to use an icon theme that you don't have installed in 14.0. Switch to a theme that you actually have installed.

Thanks! It is in Settings>Appearence>Icons to effect changes
