Having update firefox-16.0.2 to firefox-17 and after on 17.0.1 edition i noticed that some YouTube videos could not play. A message always appeared saying to install the latest flash edition. But i have the latest flash edition.
I read on internet that there is a problem with latest firefox and html5 videos. So i downgrade to firefox 16.0.2 and all YouTube video's play as before.
So i will stay with 16.0.2 firefox edition until mozilla fixes firefox.

I have disinstalled Firefox from all my systems (sometimes it seemed to get wheeled out as "default" browser). Midori is fine for internet banking, Christmas shopping on Amazon, and other similar tasks.

EDIT

I mean "uninstalled". The Portuguese is getting to me :|

I agree. But there is a problem with midori and kde. It is maybe a theme problem. All login and password text boxes show on black background. Which is annoying. Changing themes and colors and icons from oxygen to mate do not solve the problem. This happens only with midori. All other browsers, firefox, google-chrome, qupzilla, seamonkey dont have this problem. I cant figure out where midori choose the theme that will use. For the salix 14.0 kde edition (doing a clean installation), i hope the problem to not exist.
If anyone know where midori choose the theme will use it will be very helpful.

For KDE I would recommend rekonq as a web browser and we should probably have that in our KDE edition.

I have made some new packages with qt. One of them is qupzilla. Qt web browser and works fine. I use it the last month and use less memory. But we have to think about changing firefox. I will check rekonq also.

Midori works fine for all most everything for me, except CNN video (say for example: http://www.cnn.com/video/?hpt=hp_c3#/vi ... n-fire.hln ). The page just hangs and does not finish loading (much less playing).

Anyone else see this, or is this another case of ElderDryas messing up his system, somehow...again?

Works here (in x86_64); also works in Vimprobable.

Maybe the website was busy?
