Salix 14 LVM install generic kernel

Hello,
I have found documentation allowing me to create LVM volumes while installing, including creating the initrd required to use them, but I find no way to install the generic kernel that must be used as well. Only the huge kernel is installed.
What can i do? I don't want any non-LVM partitions, so It's not a matter of booting and then changing the set up.
Thanks,
Bret

If you want a different kernel installed during installation, you'll have to download the packages separately before installation and put them on a removable drive. After installation has finished, choose to exit the installation (not reboot), mount the removable drive and install the kernel packages using the spkg --root option, pointing to the / partition in your hard drive.
Alternatively, you could use a tool like isomaster to put the kernel packages in the iso and remaster it.

Perhaps I'm a little bit late with this answer, if you refer to README_CRYPT.TXT and README_LVM.TXT from slackware, you can do everything with the huge kernel also (I have such installations).
