Pl. rest assured, I have searched forums, google before posting. Do not scold me as they do on ArchLinux forums
Yesterday, I made a XFCE 14 full install. Generally happy. But midori is disappointing. When I try to enter something to search, capslock, Numlock LED blinks, system reboots.

Also, exaile does not play music CD. says 'uridecode0' error. I have installed multimedia codecs, but still I get this error.
A bit guidance appreciated

Do other browsers and players work?

Welcome! From the sound of it, you are having a kernel panic. In addition to mimosa's question, have you checked your system logs for anything unusual?

Nothing worth mentioning in the logs.
I have not installed Firefox or another music player, following lean, KISS principle

Strange. Now, while I was logging in, numlock, capslock led blinked, system hung, nad rebooted.
I had wiped this HDD before installing Salix xfce 14.

Wonder if Salix OS XFCE14 is really stable?

Try disabling any plugins which are trying to access the internet for Covers, Lyrics, etc.

According to Archlinux cddb-py is a dependency of Exaile. It isn't installed with Exaile in Salix. It's available as a Slackbuild (Sourcery) so it might be worth a try.

I have written that, while I was logging in, the led's blinked, hung and rebooted. So, it might not be an issue with midori

I was referring to your problem with Exaile.

I can't help you with resolving a problem about Midori causing a reboot. It's not something I've experienced.

Check the hardware, especially your memory (try memtest86 for some hours).
