slapt-get and Eric Hameleers' KTown repo ?

Hi,

I wonder if I can upgrade KDE by "integrating" Eric Hameleers' KTown repo. I'm not very familiar with slapt-get, and I only use a quite minimal KDE, a handful of packages.

I guess it should be simple to add a line to slapt-getrc, only I wonder how I should define the preferences.

Any suggestions?

You can add

Code: Select all

SOURCE=http://alien.slackbook.org/ktown/:CUSTOM
(or one of the mirrors) but the way Eric has his site set up, slapt-get sees all the packages for 13.37 and 14.0 (that's 3 different versions of kde)
I find it simpler to rsync the files and create a local SOURCE using the instructions here.
Then you can also add dependency resolution, see this.
