I installed this program and naively let it update itself.
Results: complete lockup, no boot, no Salix.
So caution is advised.

Paul, as it was explained to you in another thread, opera does not update itself and it could never have been the cause of any such trouble.

You probably have faulty hardware.

I confirm Gapan's post. Opera was upgraded via Gslapt as usual on my laptop (still running Salix 13.0) and all is running perfectly.

Seriously though I can't give you a date. Firstly I am still on parental leave and hence don't know all the finer details of everything happening in the office right now and secondly there is no fixed date other than when the guys think it is ready for public consumption. With Opera effectively rebooting our browser, effort had to focus on the bigger platforms first. However the current plan is still to get a Linux version out as soon as we can.
