One request to cancel the inconvenient rule of not being allowed to post URL's until a user has posted at least 3 times. I understand this is to protect against spam but has the drawback if user has registered to ask for help in the first place he is unable to reference solutions he tried or is referring to.

Nope. If someone is so desperate, he can always create 3 consecutive posts and overcome the rule.

And you still can post urls like this http:--www.salixos.org Fair enough for the first 3 posts.
