NetworkManager on KDE

I followed instructions on this page (http://www.salixos.org/forum/viewtopic. ... =20#p26345) to replace Wicd with NetworkManager on SalixOS-14-KDE but it does not work well. There is no NetworkManager-applet on panel. On running the command 'nm-applet', the applet is embedded on panel but it is not clearly visible. How can I correct this? What settings do I need to adjust for networkmanager to work in KDE?

for KDE you want the package networkmanagement not nm-applet. (Although nm-applet should work.)

Thanks. I installed networkmanagement and added its widget to the panel and it works. Which of the following can I uninstall?
* networkmanager-applet
* ModemManager
* Gnome-keyring
* Usb_modeswitch

My guess is that I can remove network-manager applet and gnome-keyring.
