I have come accross. Putting it into a USB stick no problem and that has Persistent
really working. All programs are up-to-date with kernel-3.14.13. I installed it
on my hard drive from where I am posting this. I really love it.
Fully agree with you. Have to say 'thank you' to Djemos. Feel his Slackel-Live-Openbox is maybe even better. But needs maybe little bit of updating.

But no SalixLive. No xfce / kde / openbox / fluxbox / mate - LIVE. Although everything is available as installation iso. Which is very much OK!

Feel I was entitled to ask : "LiveCD almost dead???" It seems Salix is only interested in installation isos. The days when salixlive-xfce was one of the best livecds available are gone ...

It would seem to be essential to have live/installable media these days, if you want people to try your distro. :)
I have been absent from the forum/distro for some time, as I found something more suitable for me by using AntiX, however, I like to keep my options open. ;)
With the possible use of systemd in other distros, I might have to jump ship back to a Slackware based system.
