Failed to open "Windows Network" Window Error.

Hi,

I just installed Salix. I don't know how to tell the version of Slaix but:
cat /etc/slackware-version
Slackware 14.0

So far it's quite stable and everything works. :D

But I get a error window coming up at "random" times and would like to fix. Here's what it says:
Failed to open "Windows Network".
DBus error org.freedesktop.DBus.Error.NoReply: Did not receive a reply. Possible causes include: the remote application did not send a reply, the message bus security policy blocked the reply, the reply timeout expired, or the network connection was broken..
I wondered how to fix?

Thanks.

Are you (or were you) trying to connect to a windows network?

AFAIK I have not tried to connect to a windows network.

But I also note when have a look in Thunar I see "Network" in the side bar and when I open that I see "Windows Network". I didn't put "Windows Network" there. There are some Windows PCs on my LAN, I have no desire to share files with them though. I checked and Samba is not installed.

I do have a dual here with XP on the same HD, but that's in another directory where it's mounted.

It seems to come up at random, but so far not this session/logon.

Thanks

That "Windows Network" icon is always there. I think you probably clicked it at some point and it was trying to look for a non existing network. Probably if you restarted and haven't clicked it again it won't bother you anymore. Monitor it and see...
