Try Sourcery.
Most of those are available already.
You can have a look at the
audio category on slackbuilds.org to find possible replacements for anything that's not there.
Probably a good idea to have a look at the "Package Management" section of the
Salix Startup Guide too.

Sometimes there may be unmet dependencies, or other problems to resolve - and sometimes it may not work at all. A bit of patience and trial and error may be required. Also, if you explain the specific problem you are having with a particular build, some one on the forum my be able to help.
The last few lines of output may give a clue as to where the problem lies.
For instance, I tried building ardour, and it was fairly clear boost was needed. It then built ok, but didn't work, complaining about jack. jack was installed already. At that point I gave up, because I don't really know much at all about audio. But someone else might
But the first thing to try is probably just a different application, if several suitable ones are available.
And do have a look at the user guide, linked to above, if you haven't already - not just for package management issues. Although it is a bit out of date (13.37) nearly everything still holds good for 14.0.

Please be specific about what you tried and what happened. Then someone may be able to help.
Also, don't forget to search these forums and do a web search to try and find useful information.
In particular, as I said above, the last few lines of output when the build fails may give a helpful clue. You can use this information both for your own searches, and to post here. What's needed is to work out what (exactly) is going wrong. Then maybe it can be fixed.
You don't even say which applications you have tried to build using Sourcery.

for ardour do the following:
Code: Select all
root# slapt-get -i scons raptor2 liblrdf
then
If you get any build errors post the last 10 lines or so from the error here
***** Typo fixed above; librdf should be liblrdf *******
