I'm not sure whether this is intentional or not, but I thought that I should report it ... The Salix Startup Guides (in all language versions, both HTML and PDF format) are not currently accessible; clicking on a hyperlink produces a "403 Forbidden" error message:

Are the guides unavailable because they are being revised / rewritten?

I see that the guides are available via GitHub, but I think the "average" user would prefer a more familiar format:

Thanks for reporting this. Akuna has moved the files in the people.salixos.org server. He probably didn't realize that this would break the guide page. All files can now be found here: http://people.salixos.org/veterans/tsuren/www/doc/

I have edited the wiki page to only include a link for the english 13.37 guide. The new version of the guide is being worked on. I can upload a new pdf at any time, but mimosa tells me it needs a bit more work until it can be publicly released. Hopefully we can have an updated guide with the final 14.1 release.

Thank you for fixing this. My first reaction was that I'd probably broken the Wiki.

There's no rush on the new guide -- as I respect the principle "It will be ready when it's ready." I'm just glad to have access to an English-language version of the 13.37 Guide.

Thanks for the info Gapan, let me know once it's ready (possibly as an .odt file) so that I can work on the italian translation.
