Good night!
First, excuse my bad english!
During install of Salix 14.1 64bits, I'm stuck on the first question asked by the installer.
My keyboard is a 'Logitech k400 Wireless Touch' and I don't know if it's keyboard firmware or bluetooth (on usb port) driver but
my keyboard doesn't work so I can't install Salix.
It sounds like 'extra' firmwares aren't present on the ISO... I don't know!
Bug?

Re: Unrecognized keyboard -> impossible to install Salix 14.
From the Salix 14.1 ISO burned on DVD.
The install process starts correctly and at the first question (US-keymap) I can't choose because my keyboard doesn't work.
Maybe should I give a parameter to the kernel at boot time?

Re: Unrecognized keyboard -> impossible to install Salix 14.
Wait... bluetooth keyboard? Don't you have to pair that on every single OS you're using?
Re: Unrecognized keyboard -> impossible to install Salix 14.
I don't really understand the meaning of 'to pair'...
Meanwhile, I found an old usb keyboard and the installation is successful.
Since I do not have this problem with, for example, Linux Mint, I think that this may be a firmware / driver missing on iso ...

Re: [SOLVED] Unrecognized keyboard -> impossible to install
I don't think bluetooth keyboards were ever supported in the installer. Not in salix and not in slackware either. "Pairing" is the process of connecting the device (keyboard) with the (usb in your case) receiver and making sure it stays connected.
Re: [SOLVED] Unrecognized keyboard -> impossible to install
I use a K400 with Ubuntu 12.04 so it's likely a Kernel issue since Slackware uses an older kernel. The K400 is a wireless(rf) keyboard - no bluetooth pairing required. you may want to post your problem at the slackware forums.dsw wrote:Good night!
