Exactly which iso are you trying to boot? The Salix 14.1 KDE beta? Live?

All the iso's on that page are install, not live, iso's, so unetbootin should work just fine (at least it does for me).
If you use dd (dd if=$ISO of=$DEVICE. i.e., dd if=salix64-xfce-14.1 of=/dev/sdb) does that work? Be advised that dd will completely overwrite the entire USB.

If using dd doesn't solve it, could you try and record some of the output you see, to help identify the problem? Is the behaviour exactly the same with Zenwalk, or just similar?

The problems in zenwalk is that dont find the "medium" of system on kde salix is akernel panic, but im test slackel openbox and works perfectly.
Now I need to know this- what is the term support of slackel? and salix? versions 14.

Same with slackware's no less than five years of support.
Be aware. Salix KDE 14.0.1 uses a different kernel and also is old edition.
Slackel uses a more recent kernel and also is based on slackware current.
To boot with salix kde use acpi=off e.g. hugesmp.s acpi=off
You can use salix-KDE-14.1 beta1 which is based on slackware stable 14.1 version.
