I recently discovered Salix OS on Distrowatch. I'm excited about this project. Here's my question...
I installed Salix on an old Dell Dimension P4 with a scavenged Nvidia TNT2 video card. The initial installation was a piece of cake, but I'm wondering about how to reconfigure x11. It appears that Salix is using the Vesa driver on my machine and the performance is lacking. I figured if I could reconfigure x11 to use the "nv" driver it would help. Slack has xorgconfig, but it appears Salix doesn't have this installed. I really don't want to create an xorg.conf file by hand if I don't have to.
What is the preferred method for reconfiguring x11 in Salix? Thanks
