Cannot play audio files or movies .States that no decoder installed to play file may have to install plugin.I did install salix codecs installer with Gslap still produces same errror.
Is there something else I need to install

OMG! I saw that updates were available so I clicked to update then went to work .Installed had completed I rebooted then had sound and able to play movies .However now Firefox does not work and when I go to log out that comes up as erorr message as well.

sigh... the salix codecs installer is a tool that you need to run in order to install codecs. codecs are not installed just by installing it!
