When I am trying to install Compiz system tells me that a bunch of packages should be installed. And I think it`s too much. What the hell in this list doing Strigi, Akonadi, oxygen-icons etc?! Copmiz will not work without kdepimlibs or what. I do not need all this garbage.

compiz in slackware is built mostly with kde in mind, so it requires a lot of kde stuff. That's just the way it is. Either accept it, or don't use it.

Sorry for necro bumping, but what about Compiz Fusion, its deps are mostly Python ?
