Hi, i have problems with cd/dvd rom, it not working, not responding.

We need more info:
- 32/64 bit?
- What CD drive? manufaturer, model?
- What means "not working"?
- Does the drive LED work?

1)Salix OS 32bit,
2)info about cd:
hda: MATSHITACD-RW CW-8221, ATAPI CD/DVD-ROM drive
hda: host max PIO4 wanted PIO255(auto-tune) selected PIO4
hda: UDMA/33 mode selected

Are you sure the drive is receiving power from the PSU? Does it open the tray when you press the eject button on the drive?

i thing i found problem, cd rom stoped working after "kernel disabling IRQ #21" , how fix it??

Probably a problem with your BIOS and ACPI/PNP. Try the kernel acpi boot parameters.

Have you checked the data cable between drive and mainboard and verified a good connection?
