[SOLVED] No suspend/hibernate

I've installed the basic Xfce package (14.1 32 bit) on a netbook and have added xfce4-power-manager but there are no options on the logout window for suspend/hibernate. How do I configure this or do I need to install another package?

Running the power manager in debug mode reveals that suspend/hibernate are not authorized, but which file do I need to edit to authorize them?

Doing "pm-suspend" as root works ok.

Thanks for any help.

Hi Jerome,

Are suspend and hibernate checked (right click on logout icon, then properties )?

Also make sure you have the Xfce session manager installed.

Hi ChuangTzu,

Yes the session manager is installed. When I check suspend in the action buttons dialog an icon appears on the panel but it has no effect (greyed out).
Not to worry, I should probably post in the xfce forum because this isn't really a Salix issue. Thanks anyway.

Do you have "user-settings-xfce" installed?
