Tech90, the real McCoy or...?

I just came across the following when searching for a Slackbuild for Komodo Edit:
https://github.com/tech9o/komodo-sb/blo ... SlackBuild
I am of course wondering if this is actually Patrick Volkerding that wrote this Slackbuild, and secondly (as I am still learning about Slackbuilds), whether this is a legitimate Slackbuild that will work on my Salix OS 14.1 system - if I change the source to a newer Komodo Edit version.

That tech9o is definitely not PV. But it could be that PV wrote the original SlackBuild and tech9o put it in his github repo. And it looks ok, so yes, it should work in Salix.

Thanks for the quick reply. I received quite a number of warnings about zero length files. Not sure if it is a problem. I pasted the output here:

Shouldn't think that's a problem, as long as it works.

Thanks for the reply mimosa. Seems to have worked for the X86 version. I am going to adapt the Slackbuild for my X_86 machines as well and noticed the resultant file has the following name Komodo-Edit-9.3.2-1-_techno.txz That _techno tag looks non-standard to me... What should the standard tag be?

Indeed it is, but it doesn't really matter for private consumption. However, you might want to change the name to indicate the architecture it was built for.
To see standard package names:
