Maybe this is not where I should post this, but the Hostingxtreme mirror seems to be down. I pulled a few updates from there last night, but it has been down all day today. I waited to see if this was going to be resolved soon, but like I said, been down all day. I have simply switched mirrors, but I felt I should report it. :-/

Thanks for the report. I know there was supposed to be some scheduled maintenance a few days ago, but maybe something went wrong with their upgrades. Have reported it to them, let's see how it goes.

gapan what is the preferred mirror to choose as default for live iso? What about download.salixos.org. I do not like http://salix.hostingxtreme.com/ since this serious problem happened. Not all of users know how or that they have to switch to a different mirror.

Problems will come and go with mirrors at different times. It's only natural, OSes need to be upgraded, hardware needs to be upgraded. There will be some downtime whatever you do. I wouldn't call some hours of downtime a "serious problem".

I have contacted them and they are in the process of resyncing the mirror, after they upgraded the hardware.

It's cool. I kind of suspected something along those lines, but I wasn't sure. Figured it would be best to make someone aware of it.

The mirror is up again since a few hours now.

This mirrors is still down. The changelog for the slackware part of the salix repository has not changed since May 27, 2016.

Right, I informed them about it.

The mirror has synced now. Lets see how it goes.
