This could be the last batch of updates before 14.2 stable, so please test!

Well, Slackware's definition of "stable" is very strict (as it should), so I am not sure 14.2 is "almost here".

Anyway, I am guessing that, when Salix 14.2 is out, I will have to re-install everything on all my computers, but judging from the beta1, it is worth the effort.
