The way like in Ubuntu I can do
Code: Select all
apt-get dist-upgrade
Code: Select all
apt-get dist-upgrade
It is not a good idea to skip this. If you do you have a lot of packages leftover from the previous version which, if you're lucky, will simply not work. They may interfere with your installation in ways you can't predict. Just make a note of everything that is removed and if you see that there is something you want to keep, reinstall it after you have removed everything.Atip wrote:https://docs.salixos.org/wiki/How_to_up ... .1_to_14.2
Works perfectl;y. Did in on 2 hard drives.
Just be careful with "slapt-get --remove-obsolete --remove". I skipped it.
Good luck
I am sure you are correct. Luckily in my case all worked out fine. My good old programs retained and opening.gapan wrote:It is not a good idea to skip this.
