Hi all,

not sure whether this is the right place...I cannot send personal notes from my personal area.
I received a personal note from a member but whatever I try to reply, the messages do not leave the outbox.
Is this a setup problem of my account or a general software issue?

Could it be that your outbox is full and you need to clear it? Or the recipient's inbox is full maybe?

only I can tell is my outbox is almost empty. I am using PN only very infrequently, say 2-5 messages/year.

Did you get the message I just sent you?

It could be that it isn't displayed as sent till you leave the PM section, or log out and in, something like that ...I got two messages from you, and two notified as deleted.

yes got the message.

Its obviously not me logging in and out that drives sending or not. As I did that several times ... as I was wondering why it does not work.
Could it be the intended recipient login?

Wait. A message is only marked as sent, when the recipient actually reads it. It will be in your outbox until then. It has nothing to do with you logging in/out.

yes, that's probably the answer!
So it works but slightly different as expected - its not an e-mail system

That has been a problem for me in forums.
I finally just decided to send and ignore why it stayed in the outbox.
Now I understand.
