cannot get firefox localised to polish or dutch SOLVED

Hi Salixers,

got a new salix install on a laptop for my mother in law :)
But she is Polish like my wife.

So I installed Salix (English)
installed language packs for Polish and Dutch

but the user interface of firefox remains in English

I have globally changed the language to polish (using kde's language tool in settings)

But I do not know how to change the interface to Polish (or Dutch for that matter)

Greetings

marcel

Hi emgee_1

Is this for Salix 13.0.2 or 13.1?

Also what locale is the environment of Xfce in? Is it the same as what you want firefox to come up with or not?

Are we talking about xfce or kde here?

Did you set the system language, too? What gives "echo $LANG"?

Thanks for all your reactions

I did something stupid:

In the GDM inlog screen I set the language to English ( because in Polish a loose myself in finding correct options)
I log into KDE session (with openbox)

There are several places where you can change also language settings

1) system settings (here I changed to polish and every thing system wise changes except firefox gui elements)
2) system language under system menu (probably an xfce or LXDE setting (got LXDE too)

changes in 1) or 2) never changed firefox setting (nor google chrome)

but the GDM setting when logging in did!

So my fault
apologies

Greetings
