Salix OS 13.37 or newer kernel panics on QEMU

When running Salix OS 13.37 or newer it kernel panics on QEMU. Is there a fix for that problem?

I don't understand. Do you mean that you cannot run QEMU under Salix, or that Salix doesn't run within QEMU?

I can run QEMU on Salix but not Salix on QEMU

How are you trying to run QEMU then? Are you sure your QEMU installation is OK? Can you run any other OS with QEMU?

I can run everything on QEMU but not Salix.

You really need to provide more info. Does it boot at all? At what point are you getting a kernel panic? Which iso are you trying? Have you checked the iso's md5sum? How much RAM are you assigning to the VM? Are you perhaps trying to use a 64bit image with a 32bit VM?
Salix works just fine under QEMU here, so something must be wrong with your setup.

I think you were right. I tried installing 14.2 using QEMU 4.1.0-rc1 and no kernel panic happened.
