Just to draw attention: The mirror http://mirror.inode.at/salix seems to have been malfunctioning for some time.
The mirror reports

403 - Forbidden

on my accesses.

Yes, I know they've been having hardware troubles for some time now.

That you already know, I assumed, but others may have similar bad luck as me, I thought. Because I first became aware of the server malfunction through the discussion about the faulty weather plugin. I had the weather plugin package installed, but not in use, I noticed the non-appearance of the weather plugin package you corrected. Due to the malfunction of the mirror, slapt-update-service does not place an icon in the user notification area. Running Gslapt manually and running the package update says nothing about the server outage. Unfortunately, I failed to use slapt-get directly. I would have liked to see what was being reported.

Also thanks for the link to the mirror monitor. I had that one before, but then unfortunately lost it again.
