Installer stuck on "Loading file initrd.img...done"

Hi, this is my first time installing Salix. I'm installing from a usb, and i am able to boot and select my language. From there, it loads the kernel bzImage and the initrd.img file, and then just freezes. Please help me. Thanks in advance.

What tool did you use to write the ISO on the USB flash drive?
Do you check the ISO for erros?

I initially used BalenaEtcher, and then encountered the error, and re-flashed it with dd. I tried again and still got the error. Btw I am trying to install 14.2. I didn't check it for errors.

It's entirely possible that 14.2 is just too old for your hardware. It was released 7 years ago after all.
