I use MATE desktop, which is IMO a little better than XFCE.
Between its applets there is mateweather, which from some days is not running.
A little search into https://github.com/mate-desktop/libmateweather says me than the package libmateweather-1.26.2 is the newest, while the available in Salix repository is version 1.26.0.
I've downloaded the version 1.26.2 and tried to install it using upgradepkg, but it does not go. I wonder if I directly can compile the new version, but I am not sure if this could destroy all my MATE system.
For this reason I beg to the smart people of this forum their advice.
[SOLVED] MATE weather
Re: MATE weather
I just uploaded packages for 1.26.2 to the repos, so you'll soon be able to get them with just an upgrade.
