How to Runit with Pid1 on Salix 15.0

In the Salix repositories there is the Runit Package. But after installing and rebooting, Init remains as Pid! How to Runit with Pid1 on Salix 15.0?

My Salix 15 uses Grub. There have instructions for lilo, how should I configure grub?

Edit the file /etc/default/grub and include in this file a line like:

GRUB_CMDLINE_LINUX="vt.default_utf8=0 init=/sbin/runit-init"

Caveat: I didn't try, not having runit installed.
