Too many Captchas!

Love Salix, but there's something weird about its network settings. WAY too often after installing Salix (over the past week), I've been hit by numerous Captchas while doing simple Google (DDGo, Startpage, whatnot) searches. They seem to be coming out of nowhere. Is there a reason for this?

Kinda reminds me of this.

I don't think this has anything to do with "network settings". It sounds more like browser fingerprinting. Firefox in general is more likely to be subject to CAPTCHAs, firefox on Linux even more so. Add some extra security settings and installation of security related extensions and you become way more likely to be shown a CAPTCHA.

For example, anubis, which has become very popular, always shows its proof-of-work page to firefox users: https://anubis.techaro.lol/docs/design/how-anubis-works

I don't think there is anything you can do about it, except switching to Chrome and disabling every security measure you might have.
