I'm really sad to find that our friend Didier Spaier has passed away.

I suspected that something bad had happened, as I wasn't able to contact him for several weeks now. I didn't want to think that it was that bad.

Didier was one of the most friendly persons I ever found online. We worked together on several things as Slint was very close to Salix in terms of goals and ideas. He was a driving force behind many improvements in Salix. He put his heart on making Slint the best experience for visually impaired people and he was very close to the community. Always with a helpful comment and always with a positive attitude. I have no words to express my immense gratitude to him.

Rest in peace dear friend. You will be missed.

Very sad news. Didier was very helpful to everyone. It was his idea and helped slackel repositories to be hosted to slackware.uk. He always replied kindly.
Condolences to his friends and family.
A really nice person.
Rest in peace dear Didier. You will be missed.

On occasion, I had the pleasure of corresponding with Didier through email and these forums. He was always helpful and kind. May he rest in peace.

My God, sad news about M. Spaier of this great contributor. My humble condolences to his family. Also to his other family, the large Slackware family.

We will miss him greatly. It is always sad to see these great contributors leave us.

This news came as a shock to me. I had been following Didier's work for over 10 years and always contributed with Portuguese translations for the projects he created, always completing the Portuguese translations 100%. He was a very friendly person and always willing to help... Slackware/Slackware based users are poorer for his passing... Rest in peace... "mon ami".
