evince bugs

Since I had marked the other thread solved I thought I would just post a new thread. In the last one it was suggested to me to report a bug to evince and I did. It had already been posted so I added my comments and a few other people have posted comments also. Today I received an email about the status of the bug. I have posted the contents below. They are going to fix it but might provide a workaround. Personally, I uninstalled it and use ePDFViewer now.

Evince doesn't have preferences and we are not planning to add them, but I'm
considering adding an option to save current settings as default, I guess that
would solve the problem for everybody with minimal impact in the UI.

Thought I would post the latest message from bugzilla. No mention of when this would be implemented but I think it should satisfy most people. It meets my needs anyway. Hope it is good news for all

I mean, settings will be saved per document as always, but you can set the
current settings of the current document as default for new documents

Fixed in git master now, there's a new option to save current settings as
default in the Edit menu.
