Tried to change display resolution setting using lxrandr but the change does not stick after reboot. Any thought?

I don't think lxrandr supports this. You may have to create a basic xorg.conf file.

Or put an xrandr command with the proper settings in your autostated applications. That will only work after you login from gdm though.

Silly me...

I've already thought to use a lxrandr comamnd to set it at LXDE start, but of course you have to use
xrandr because lxrandr can't do this

LXRandR 0.1.2 has save settings option.
