Re: ipod touch/iphone support
I think you only need to get libtasn with slapt-get and:
and a directory to mount your ipod (not root):
and then you should be able to mount your ipod with (not root):
You can unmount it with (not root):
That's all from memory, but I think it's right.
with slapt-src (as root). Then create a usbmuxd user (as root):libplist
usbmuxd
libimobiledevice
ifuse
Code: Select all
useradd -u 233 -g plugdev -d /dev/null -s /bin/false usbmux
Code: Select all
mkdir $HOME/ipod
Code: Select all
ifuse $HOME/ipod
Code: Select all
fusermount -u $HOME/ipod

Re: ipod touch/iphone support
Back on Salix XFCE now
and im determined to get my ipod working with it

Re: ipod touch/iphone support
I use exaile to listen and gtkpod to write to my ipod I'm using KDE in Salix, I find most of the KDE multimedia apps are totaly useless in KDE thats not just Salix. Exaile plays all audio including cd just needs perl cddb also for me ipod only works if I don't tick the box but tick mass storage and load under device manager.

Re: ipod touch/iphone support
the instructions that gapen provided worked.
Able to mount and view the ipod touch's contents no problem. im not sure if rhythmbox detected the ipod or not as this was few weeks ago,
on debian squeeze atm but will probaly return to salix
