I rebooted and when I came back, my sys tray [task bar] was gone.
Can't figure out what happened nor how to get it back.
Any idea's?

You can get it back by running
at the command line. If you have Xfce set to save your configuration it should survive a reboot and work from then on.
What happened? There just isn't enough info in your post to even venture a guess.

Thx C. That worked.
It did take awhile for the reboot process to actually start.
When I came back, the panel was gone.
Couldn't even get anything through the panel icon in the settings menu.
It was like the plugin was broken or maybe even removed.
I kinda need it because I keep tools there as well as windows condensed down in it.
Thx again.
No clue what happened. I closed Firefox then decided to check my email, which requires FF of course. A window kept popping up saying FF was already running, which it wasn't. After the third try I decided to simply reboot to break all connections, since I hadn't rebooted in 4 - 5 days anyway. What happened?
