DeVeDe

Post by steepleone »

I tried once to use Devede on salix-xfce and did not succeeded to make it work properly. I managed to use devede on frugalware and it did the job allright! Just to point out an issue for the next salix-xfce! Sorry not being more explicit about the bug, too hard for my poor english!
Good luck

When was that once? For a while there was a bug triggered by the combination of dvdauthor, which is used by devede, and some other lib, which would generate broken menus.
Could you point out more exactly what the problem was, as it otherwise is pretty much useless.

Well! I tried to use Devede (DiviX/mpeg-4) and I had the reply: "La conversion a échoué. Cela semble être un bug de Mencodeur".

No problem. C'est bien possible pour moi de comprendre cela.
It seems like a problem with the specific material you used. I just successfully used devede this week to create a VideoDVD.

What exactly were you trying to achieve (i.e. which settings did you choose in ffmpeg)? What material did you use (ffmpeg -i <video file>)?
Could you start devede from a console with `devede 2>&1 | tee debug.log' and reproduce the issue? Afterwards please upload debug.log to pastebin, ...

Were you successful with different material/settings?
