*Solved*Flash Plugin in 64 bit?
*Solved*Flash Plugin in 64 bit?
Hi everyone, I just installed Salix OS Xfce 64bit and all is going great, exept for the lack of Flash. Now I know that Adobe does not support 64 bit, but I'm pretty sure that you can install a 32 bit browser, and then the 32 bit Plugin. Could someone tell me how to mod this? Thanks, and sorry if I'm missing something obvious.

Re: Flash Plugin in 64 bit?
Please read through the "Flash in 64-bit" thread in the announcements section.
If you really want to do what you're describing, google for "slackware multilib". I wouldn't.

http://www.hydronitrogen.com/374 could be help for multilib support.

Re: Flash Plugin in 64 bit?
I did read the Flash in 64 bit announcement. The problem is that I prefer to play a flash game or two on Kongregate once in a while, and gnash just gives me a black box instead. I'll take a look at that link.

I didn't tell you to read the announcement. I told you to read through the announcement thread. All of it.
Re: Flash Plugin in 64 bit?
There is a flash beta package for 64 bit available.
Re: Flash Plugin in 64 bit?
Yep, the square one works on 64bits:

Code: Select all
$ cd /home/you
$ wget -c http://download.macromedia.com/pub/labs/flashplayer10/flashplayer10_2_p3_64bit_linux_111710.tar.gz
$ mkdir .mozilla/plugins
$ tar xf flashplayer10_2_p3_64bit_linux_111710.tar.gz
$ cp flashplayer10_2_p3_64bit_linux_111710/libflashplayer.so .mozilla/plugins/
$ enjoy YouPorn

That's why I've said: "there is a package available"
