Hi everyone!
I am testing Salix on my Eee pc 701 and on my desktop box. So far results have been very good. On the netbook after adding alienBOB's eeepc script package everything that I try works very well, with one exception - Opera refuses to recognise the flash plugin.
Opera has the best display options for a small screen so I would like to get it right. If I check what plugins are available Opera finds all the other plugins in /usr/lib/mozilla/plugins correctly but not flash. I have tried adding a symlink from /usr/lib/flashplugin to /usr/lib/opera/plugins but that does not help.
This problem is present on both my Salix installations but not in my installation of "vanilla" Slackware 13 which has the same versions of Opera and Flash installed using slackbuilds. The main difference seems to be the presence of Totem multimedia plugins on Salix. Could this be where the trouble is?
All suggestions gratefully received.
Geoff.

Re: Opera and Flash
hi, you need to install either the seamonkey-solibs or the seamonkey package
Re: Opera and Flash
A blush mounted to my face as I realised:
1. I missed the answer on the wiki.
2. Somwhere in the back of my mind I knew this already!
Thank you.

Re: Opera and Flash [Solved]
i wonder why it is not made as opera dependency ;] or flash
Re: Opera and Flash [Solved]
Because flash does not need it and opera runs fine without flash, too.conta wrote:i wonder why it is not made as opera dependency ;] or flash
