Easytag dependency issue in salix repositories...
I attempted to install easytag through the gslapt package manager and I got a dependency error for gdk-pixbuf2 which is not included in the repos. I tried to ignore the dependency and it installed but would not open... i asked about this in irc channel and was told to file a bug report here

Re: Easytag dependency issue in salix repositories...
Is this on your 64 bit system? Also which version of Salix did you install?

What really matters is where you are going, not where you come from.
Re: Easytag dependency issue in salix repositories...
I've seen this error when installing 13.2 packages in 13.1. Are you trying to achieve this? It's likely to fail and unsupported.
Re: Easytag dependency issue in salix repositories...
gdk-pixbuf2 is not in the dep list of easytag in the 13.2 repo.

Re: Easytag dependency issue in salix repositories...
Sorry about that... I installed Salix 13.1.2 XFCE 64 bit if that helps. I haven't added or deleted any repos. Whatever isn't in gslapt by default I just compile...
Re: Easytag dependency issue in salix repositories...
We're talking about the 13.1 repo, where gdk-pixbuf2 is in the dep list while it shouldn't. You (accidentally) replaced the easytag .dep file in the 13.1 repo, when you uploaded your package in the current repo. Please be more careful when working with the repositories.thenktor wrote:gdk-pixbuf2 is not in the dep list of easytag in the 13.2 repo.
Fixing it now. neruson1981, please try again.

Cool. Thanks for all the help... I'll try to install it again later today.

Wow, that was fast. It's working now. Thanks again. I have about 8gbs of MP3's I backed up on my ipod and when I put them back on my HD all my id3 tags were somehow erased. Not sure how it happened. It isn't a Salix issue. It happened when I was running Ubuntu, but yeah, a mass id3 tagging program is essential for me right now
