How to install new icons?

hi people, after much searching i have given up on how to install icons! i presume i am ment to extract them to a specific folder? any help would be great, thanks.

Sorry ment to say im running 13.1 xfce.

You unpack them in directories under ~/.icons if you want to use them only with your user, or under /usr/share/icons if you want to have them globally available.
