You can install avidemux with gslapt/slapt-get. You can compile and install the others with sourcery/slapt-src.

But it really isn't difficult! With gslapt, just search for the app, tick install, and go. The process with Sourcery is similar except that you should read the ReadMe file and ensure any dependencies are installed first. (All explained more fully in the user guide). Any further problems (such as unexpected missing dependencies) should be easy to solve on the basis of error messages that tell you what they are - but if you have any difficulty, post to the forum and the community will do its best to help. :D

If you liked Salix - I'm sure you can get things working as you wish with very little trouble.

EDIT Also please consider posting to the Italian language board, if you think it might be helpful to get assistance in your own language.

Well, usually things are difficult once we decide they are.
But then, as Mimosa pointed out, we can be happily surprised when we actually do try things out.

Could be the word 'compile' that was scary.
Maybe it should be stressed out that slapt-src is a utility that automates package compilation from source while Sourcery is its GUI front-end.
That might put things in their proper perspectives.

But Ubuntu does nothing to stop users remaining uncomfortable even thinking there might be a *back* end. :(
