Salix bootloader

hello everybody,
I was wondering to install salix into my macbook and dual boot. I was wondering whether grub is the default bootloader, and if not, is there any option during installation so that I can install it? I know that grub works pretty good with efi, but I have no idea of how other bootloaders work...

The default bootloader is lilo and there is no option during installation to change this. But you can install grub2 as soon as Salix is running.

if the bootloader won't boot (as far as I know lilo doesn't work very well with efi...), how can I boot into salix so that I can install grub?
