Kompozer will not launch

Post by kinslayer »

Running Salix Fluxbox 13.37. I installed kompozer from slapt-src. It installed without any errors, but when I try to run it from both CLI and using the ALT-F2 launcher, nothing happens. No errors in the terminal, no window period.

Can't say I have run into a problem launching a program from the terminal that didn't display some kind of error if it didn't launch.

More info.....I did a fresh install and used Sorcery to install kompozer and there were no errors during the installation. The flux-menu package added kompozer to my menu, but it still will not launch and not produce error messages.

Glad to know it is not just me. I tried it on another machine and got the same result as well....I tried looking in `/.xsession-errors but didn't see anything about it crashing. Hopefully someone has an answer, but until then, I'm going to keep digging around. I have a few websites I setup in Kompozer and I have all of the settings saved over from my Debian install, so I would like to be able to continue using it.

Kompozer is outdated and probably broken. First check the build log to make sure it really created a sane package.
