Post by kenny72 »

Hello everyone, I wanted a little help for my problem, I installed lxde 13:37 salix os x86 on my samsung nc10, the FN key does not work to set the brightness of the screen, I tried xev and xbindkeys to map the keys and I isntallato xbacklight, but the button does not work in question, there is' a way to enable it? Thanks to those who give me a hand!

I also have the first NC10 model that was released long ago (maybe 3 years?). Back then I gave up in trying to use the Fn keys and ended up with using some key combination like Ctrl+PageUp/Down for setting the brightness with xbacklight.

Thank you very much! What version of xbacklight advise me to use?

First check if xbacklight works on the command line: xbacklight -dec 10
